Client Spotlight: Cleo's Rock N Pole
When you think of big hair flips, sky-high heels, 80’s rock music, bright neon lights and pole dancing…what’s the first thing that comes to mind? If you said Cleo’s Rock N Pole, you would be right! Aussie-born Cleo The Hurricane is a beloved fixture and a legacy amongst the pole dancing community. Her old-school moves and fun 80’s rock choreography is unique to her brand and studio. She has built a recognizable online brand, selling her lessons via a huge library platform on CRNP TV, as well as her own merchandise and clothing. She also opened up a physical studio, at the height of the pandemic, which Vertical Art Dance designed and built for her.
We were able to visit Cleo this past month in her Westlake Village studio and take a private class from her to learn her spicy, yet smooth pole skills and to discuss a re-design of her studio because she is now expanding! That is one of the best things about custom truss structures: when life and plans change, your truss can move with you or be re-designed to fit your current needs. Keep reading to hear a little more about Cleo and what her dreams are for her studio re-design!
VAD/HOLLY: “It’s been three years since we have built your studio and we know you opened during a difficult time with COVID, but how has having this custom truss from VAD benefited your business?”
CLEO: “I am obsessed with this truss, it has been so handy to have for all my stage lights. It’s not just for the poles, I’ve got my stage lights set up when we do showcases. The obvious benefit is that it holds up my poles. It’s easy to move around if I need to move my poles around. It looks REALLY cool. Honestly, the look (of the truss) is the best thing for me. It looks like a stage, like a rock n’ roll show! It’s probably the first reason why I chose the truss and then obviously it does a great job holding up the poles!”
VAD: “What do you think about our custom truss structure services and equipment?”
C: “As far as the equipment…I don’t even think about it because it what it needs to do. I’ve never had any issues. It’s really perfect. Its been perfect 100% As far the services…I deal with a lady called “Summer” (smiles over at Summer) and she’s awesome. She’s really cool to work with, I love her. She writes back to emails promptly, she replies to text and and answers all the questions that I have.”
VAD: “What do you think of the continued service that Vertical Art Dance offers?”
C: “I’ve recently decided to reconfigure my studio a little bit and add a second room. I think it’s very important for pole studios to have two rooms. Since I’ve been thinking about this I’ve been speaking with Summer back and forth and bouncing ideas. Really it’s not just a one time thing, she provides support all throughout my pole studio journey.”
VAD: “Would you recommend Vertical Art Dance to other studio owners?”
C: “Would I recommend Vertical Art Dance? hmmm…OF COURSE! I already do! I post and share on Instagram because I really believe in their product and service…so absolutely! And if you want a studio that looks as cool as mine…get a truss from VERTICAL ART DANCE!
S: “I personally love Cleo the Hurricane clothing and we carry it on our website. Being here today I noticed you have some new stuff so can you tell us about your new stuff and where people can buy it!”
C: “Yes, I have a pole wear brand called Cleo The Hurricane and we just released some new styles including this top which is called the keyhole top! It has a little side boob but also has elastic so no spillage. We also have lots of different hot pants, and scanty pants and high waisted bottoms. You can get Cleo’s clothing at www.cleothehurricane.com and you can also find it at www.verticalartdance.com and resellers around the world.”
Thank you so much Cleo for spending time with us and being a loyal Vertical Art Dance client. We are so happy for your thriving pole business and we are wishing you success always! :)
