Vertical Art Dance Builds A Black Powdercoated Custom Truss for Mora Pole & Aerial!

Last month we had the honor of completing this gorgeous project for Mora Pole and Aerial in Everett, Washington! It is the second pole and aerial studio location for owner, Cari, whom already runs a successful location in Lynwood, Washington. Cari and her wonderful team helped us bring this beautiful structure to life. She opted for a custom matte black powder coated finish on her truss because she knew she didn’t love the look of aluminum. She had a very specific vision for her space (very moody and sultry!) and knew that matte black would be the only way to go. We are so glad she chose the powder coat because it turned out absolutely stunning! We were very careful as we constructed her structure to make sure her powder coat finish did not get damaged in the process (it is extremely durable and does not scratch easily—but we certainly wanted to take the extra precautions!). Cari’s pole and aerial space is inviting and also has a little bit of extra room to grow into if needed. She decided to utilize X-Pole’s Pole-A-Way systems to create more usable space in her studio. At the end of our build day we interviewed Cari about her entire experience building with Vertical Art Dance. This is what Cari had to say:

H: “Tell us about yourself and your business”

C: “ I’m Cari Leigh, we are Mora Pole and Aerial and we are more dynamic and movement based when it comes to our apparatuses. We found this beautiful big space for our second location here in Everett, Washington. It has 14 foot ceiling, (and now has) 8 poles and 5 aerial points!

H: “Where is your other location?”

C: It is located in Lynwood, Washington!

H: “So tell me what your thoughts are on building your new studio with Vertical Art Dance from start to finish.”

C: “It was absolutely fantastical…magical…all of the words! (says with a huge smile). Summer was very responsive, she was quick. I came in telling her I wanted the truss within a month and she made it happen. I was amazed. I thought it was going to be something that would take a lot longer. When I came to her and told her I needed it in a month she said ‘no problem! We can do it!’ and we got everything going within that week and it was great. Great communication. It was just really great all around.”

H: “Do you feel like the service, equipment and the training we offer is valuable to you as a business owner?”

C: “Yes, definitely. Yes, I did learn a lot through this process. I’ve never used a truss system, I didn’t even really know much about it until I came across you guys. So I did learn a lot, especially about the rigging. A lot of the information you guys gave was great and very helpful and it makes me feel a lot safer bringing this to my students and my staff.”

H: “If somebody were to say hey I want to build a studio, who should I go with? Would you recommend Vertical Art Dance to them?”

C: “Yes, I absolutely would recommend you guys. You guys were amazing every step of the way.”

H: “Is there anything we could do to improve our service or the process? Any hiccups along the way?”

C: “I don’t think so. No, everything went really smooth. I mean we had some issues with getting deliveries here but that definitely wasn’t Vertical Art Dance’s fault. Other than that, everything went smooth. You guys were quick, efficient. We double, triple and quadruple checked everything and yeah, I don’t thin'k I would change a thing!”

H: “Do you feel confident in having this equipment here? How do you feel opening up a brand new space and being able to showcase all of this beautiful truss and your new poles…?”

C: “Oh yeah, I feel very confident and very SAFE!”

H: “Well congratulations on your new space. We are so excited for you and thank you so much for having us build this for you.”

C: “Thank you for helping us build it and put it together!”
